MY JOSHUA SERMON...AS MY WIFE CALLS IT
Sunday May 29, 2005
Texts: Ezekiel 3:16-27; 33:1-11
Title:
Listen to the Watchman on the Wall!

I preached this sermon after I returned from the Watchman On the Wall 2005: A
Washington Briefing for Pastors put on by the Family Research Center and it was
incredible.  Our congregation has been going through some difficult times and there
were some in the church who had not so subtlety been suggesting that I should leave
and find another church.   As I am convinced that it is still God's will that I remain, I
emphasized the point that while I am the Pastor here, I will be preaching the Word of
God and calling all men everywhere to genuine faith and repentance toward God.

Sunday March 20, 2005
Text: Luke 19:28-44
Title: Jesus' Bitter Sweet Entry Into Jerusalem

MP3 Copy of Sermon on Luke 19:29-44

This sermon was preached on Palm Sunday and reflects upon the grand price paid by
Christ for our salvation.  Jesus was not a helpless victim.  He was the incarnate Son of
God, Sovereignly fulfilling God's holy will.

One of my Favorite Scripture Passages is Proverbs 3:5,6.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding.  In all your
ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."

This verse calls for real faith in the true God.  I don't recall my exact title, but I'm sure it
was something like this:  "TRUST GOD ENOUGH TO DO WHAT HE SAYS."  The following
sermon can be listened to online or downloaded to your computer or mp3 player.

Another passage that touches upon the very fabric or purpose of our lives is Psalm
147:1-2.  "
Praise the Lord!  For it is good to sing praises to our God: For it is pleasant,
and praise is beautiful.  The Lord builds up Jerusalem; He gathers together the
outcasts of Israel."
