THE TRINITY ORTHODOX PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH OF BRIDGEWATER, SD.

The Trinity Presbyterian Church in Bridgewater, SD has a long history.  It was begun in 1936
in response to growing liberalism and the abuse of church authority within its former
denomination.   From its beginning it has been a part of the denomination called the
Orthodox Presbyterian Church.   For more information on this history you can check out an
article at this link:
http://www.opc.org.

Our current building was completed in two stages between 1980-1984.  The fellowship hall
and worship auditorium are on a single level.  I mention this because it makes the entire
church is handicap accessible.  While we haven't had much opportunity to minister to the
disabled, we would heartily welcome the opportunity.  The building itself has quite a unique
appearance as its exterior walls (and some interior walls) are made with field stones from the
surrounding region.   Area farmers freely donated whichever stones could be used.

Additionally, due to a patient building plan, a lot of donated labor and the generous financial
support from the congregation and community, the entire building project was completed
without incurring any debt.  We continue to thank the Lord for his provision of this facility and
endeavor to use it to honor and glorify Him.  In addition to using it almost daily for worship,
prayer and various Bible studies and meetings, we also make it available for local blood
drives and social gatherings.

Our current minister, Pastor Randall Klynsma, came to Bridgewater in the Fall of 1999.
Before coming here he pastored the Orthodox Christian Reformed Church  of Ripon, CA for 9
years.  He has been in the pastoral ministry for 15 years.  He and his wife, Julie have been
married for almost 20 years and  have six children, three boys and three girls.  They are
